Hallmarking

In the UK any jewellery described as 925 sterling silver must be hallmarked if it weighs over 7.78 grams and cannot be dismantled in to smaller pieces without the use of tools. If the piece comprises of any solid gold, described as such, and the whole piece weighs over 1 gram (even if it is mostly silver) it must be hallmarked by law.

My official makers mark used for hallmarking my designs is:

If the item you purchase from South Coast Jewellery weighs more than the exemption weights then the hallmarking fee will be incorporated in to the price. If your ring comes within the exemption weight, it will not be hallmarked unless requested. Please message me to discuss.
