Christmas gonks are inspired by Scandinavian folklore gnomes (called tomte or nisse)
- Tradition – Rooted in Nordic tradition where the tomte / nisse is a household guardian associated with winter and Christmas.
- The term "gonk" - In the UK the term "gonk" echoes the 1960's soft toy, and today has become the identifiable name for these little guys.
This charm has been meticulously crafted by me in my Devon workshop, using ethically sourced, recycled Sterling silver. The process begins with melting the metal to form a natural nugget, which is then shaped under pressure and carefully finished by hand. Due to the nature of the making process, these charms may embrace natural inclusions that add to their character and individuality! You will receive the charm pictured in the listing.

Beautiful ring, although Royal Mail managed to squash it into an oval shape. Popped it over a round tapering tool and it went back into shape no problem, without it snapping. So good quality. Thank you.
